2020 Legends Spring Fling! (Moving to "Fall Fling", new date is TBD - awaiting venue)
Now a 2-day event and better Venue!
As you may know, Fairfax County Public Schools just closed all schools as of today through April 12. This immediately affects our Spring Fling tournament scheduled for March 21-22. It does not affect our Spring League, as we are currently planning on starting on March 29 at The FieldHouse.
For the tournament, we were able to swap venues because of our awesome friends at The FieldHouse providing their facility!
Since the county is still saying the risk remains low for county residents, we are moving forward with the tournament at this time. USAPA also has provided information that they are also moving forward with much bigger tournaments. HOWEVER, we are watching the situation closely, and if things change (e.g., the county no longer states we are at low risk), we will reassess and cancel if in the best interest of our players.
We understand that the coronavirus can affect older and/or immune compromised people, yet we also know many people want us to still hold the tournament given the current status.
Therefore, we are offering the following choices:
- Continue to plan to play
- Withdraw from the tournament – get full credit for upcoming Legends event
- Withdraw from the tournament – transfer registration to our July “dink, dink, Bang” Tourney
- Withdraw from the tournament – get refund minus $15 admin fee (we will wait to see if the whole tourney is canceled first).
If you plan on withdrawing for any reason, please let us know by this Sunday, 5pm.
In the event we do cancel the event, we will automatically move all registrations to the dink, dink, Bang tourney in July.
If the tournament occurs, here are some additional information for our players:
- The Fieldhouse has stepped up disinfecting the facility.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided.
- Do not shake hands with players, but use another method (paddle tap) to greet.
- Please do not come to the tournament if you are sick or have symptoms of sickness, or know you have been in contact with someone infected.
- If you have a weakened immune system or have family members that may be at higher risk, we recommend you consider one of the withdrawal options.
Thanks again for working with us on this, we look forward to a great tournament!

Legends will only use your information internally and never share it outside Legends. We will only use your email to keep you abreast of all Legends Pickleball happenings until you decide you no longer want to receive updates.
Once you register on PickleballTournaments.com at the link below, you will see the registration link for Legends to register for the tournament (streamline version) and provide payment.
